Alpha Omega:
The Oldest International Dental Organization
Alpha Omega
is the oldest international dental organization in the world and was
founded in Baltimore, Maryland in1907 by a group of dental students
originally to fight discrimination in dental schools.
Today, with
AO headquarters in Denver, Colorado, Alpha Omega is primarily an
educational and philanthropic organization.
There are chapters and members in cities and dental schools
in the United States, Canada, South America, Europe, Israel, South
Africa and Australia/New Zealand.
Alpha Omega represents about 6,000 members worldwide.
Lectures,
seminars, and study groups are promoted by the Cleveland Alumni
Chapter for local members and student continuing education and
fellowship.
