Jewish Family Services Holocaust Surviors Dental Care

Dear Alpha Omega Members

Our Cleveland Jewish community is home to nearly 2,000 survivors of the Holocaust. Many of these survivors are currently experiencing difficulty in providing for much of their life needs. This includes both medical and dental health care. As you are aware, dental coverage for the indigent elderly is very minimal. As a member of the professional Jewish dental community, it is our hope that you will join this effort to offer to bring desperately needed dental health care to many of our Holocaust survivors.

Jewish Family Services is embarking on a special project to identify dentists who will volunteer in-kind dental care and services to our most needy survivors. We are not asking you to make a monetary donation for this program. We are asking that you donate your expertise as skilled dentists and oral health care professionals. We are asking that you volunteer to treat one client every half year pro bono. There are funds available to defer your out of pocket lab fees.

We sincerely hope that you will be generous with your time. Through your contribution, you will enhance the lives of this very important and special community.

Thank you for your kind and warm consideration and offer to help. I look forward to hearing from you. Please contact me at 216-378-3476 or at eshoag@jfsa-cleveland.org.

Sincerely,

Ellie Shoag, LSW
